July 2010 - Gabrielle Coupland Gabrielle Coupland has over 15 years experience in agribusiness, from production to corporate enterprises and across several industries, Gabrielle understand the unique challenges faced by farmers as they consider transitioning farm ownership and management from one generation to the next. She is also an experienced Chairman and facilitator.
From a farming family in southern NSW, I also have many friends in farming across almost every state of Australia. Gabrielle understands farmers because she is a farmer and has firsthand experience in dealing with succession, personally and professionally. Gabrielle has a Masters in Business Administration and training in Family Business Meeting facilitation. She is passionate about finding pathways through the perceived barriers to succession and maintaining relationships throughout. Her goal is to help business people help themselves.
February 2010 - Professor Ian Plimer Leading geologist and author Professor Ian Plimer will be addressing EDGE Management Members and interested parties on 19 February 2010 in Dubbo on his perspective on climate change. Professor Plimer's address will provide a global perspective on matters affecting the Australian agricultural industry.
Prof Plimer is regarded as one of Australia’s best known geologist. He provides a science-based perspective to the current political debate within the international community and the effects on our environment of global climate change. Prof Plimer is a leading historian of climate change, and takes his evidence from the layers of rocks.
His recently published book Heaven + Earth, Global Warming: The Missing Science has received wide acclaim.
He strongly challenges the prevailing theory of human-induced global warming.
The forum will offer an opportunity for open questions to Prof Plimer at the conclusion of his address. Non-EDGE Management Members are invited to attend. More details will be available shortly.
